About Golden Hammer, Inc

Golden Hammer, Inc. was founded in 2003 and has grown into one of North Central Florida’s premier contracting companies. Owner Shawn Verdream was born into a family of carpenters and craftsmen.  He was toting around a hammer before he was able to walk.  It was only befitting that construction was where he would make his career. 

Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Shawn was brought up with the highest standards and qualities of northern construction.  He has worked in many phases of residential and commercial construction with 1000’s of hours of hands on experience.  After a year at Kent State University, The University of Florida brought Shawn to Gainesville where he now resides and operates his business.  Shawn is a State Licensed General Contractor and a State Licensed Roofing Contractor.  He specializes in residential and commercial remodeling projects, new construction and roofing. 

Shawn is an experienced professional, knowledgeable in many phases of construction.  You will frequently find Shawn on the jobsite ensuring that the standards of Golden Hammer, Inc. have been met.  Shawn is currently an active member of the National Association of Home Builders, North Central Florida Builders Association, Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and the North Florida Better Business Bureau.  Additionally, Shawn is always up to date on the newest industry standards, most recent building code changes and latest products available.
